Has Glen inspired a theme

After his chat about being a Gradfather the theme is musical advice from Grannies and Grandpas. Presumably the advice is turn that racket down and get a haircut

Vital Signs

If you are not in Birmingham taking good photos of trees and skyscrapers then pop along to GIO and post your suggestions on vital signs. I think these are breathing, blood still present and a heart beating to move said blood round body. Oh and of course brain activity (except on f/b)

Thunder Road and all the Bruce Springsteen back catalogue
Ashes to Ashes as above Bowie
La Cienga Smiled as above Ryan Adams
Fountain Of Sorrow as above Jackson Browne

etc etc etc

Tuesday 2 July 2013

Dull dull dull

Imagine playing I'll Be Your baby Tonight yet again over the excellent suggestion of Baby Stop Crying.

No matter I bounce back with the observation that Bryan celebrates musical youths, from teen idols like Justin Bieber to the young Scot with the big voice, Lulu.

Blog Apology

I have noticed there is a spam section which I should have been checking. There were quite a few posts in there and obviously too late to post them now.

My apologies if you think I was moderating the blog - except I might if anyone posts under my name again.

Wednesday 17 April 2013

My old man said follow the van

Not Van The Man....removal van.

Oh never mind..... if you have ever moved house. Not that we had a house we lived in a hedge. I know we were lucky to have a hedge as Glen has to sleep in a hollow in the ground. Mind you lucky he had a hollow DC had to sleep suspended from Pitenweem Pier with a rope round his waist. A pier! Madmac would have given his right arm for a pier he had to sleep on the abutments to teh Erskine Bridge...etc.

Tuesday 16 April 2013

Sex

agenarion!

Yes are you in your sixties (or older like some visitors here)?

If so post your memories of listening to Athlone, Stars Of Jazz, AFM, Luxembourg etc. Or send direct to Bryan Burnette.

I will be suggesting Van In The Days Before Rock n Roll. But I will be suprised if it gets a play. This is not the same as Julies regular posts along the lines of "I ask for this a hundred times you never play my stuff etc etc". I really doubt it will get played (too long).

Tuesday 9 April 2013

The busiest restaurant in the world...

How many folk did Brooooce and Bono buy dinner and drinks for that night in Dublin. Hundreds I reckon.

Anyway who else would you not recognise standing at the bar with Bono....

Bowie dioes a great soul track called After Today on the Young Americans but hits a wrong note or lyric whatever and they didnt bother going back and fixing it. Great track too, real pity.

My Death

Not a very cheery song and a less than ideal ending. What songs are grim? A fairly upbeat theme for the New Year....
