Previously on the Blog: Norrie, have you seriously never heard "funk" used in that context? "Funk et up the park!" which in today's parlance might be "Get rid!"?
Perhaps its an East Neuk term and just maybe it was a Pittenweemer who brought the word into the world and not some lawd fae Detroit or Philly.
.....talking about fitbae stories.....during the #indyref one famous commenator was greeted with " get the funck ootae here ye english c***"...in shettleston of all places....the commentator himself was born and bred in shettleston......and before anyone tries to guess who the culprit was it wasn't that firebrand who is regularly played on GIO, no...she kept her vitriol and expletives for byres road....so a happy new year to everyone...hope its a year of reconciliation... it is for me ...i've reconciled to dumping all my Yesser cd's and whenever they pop up on radio ,... i switch it off....i have my dignity to protect....
The legend persists about here Adam. A technique used by a number of local fitbaw clubs I hear, and validated by one 'revered' ex Everton Scottish manager. You wid hae been revered yersel had you not emigrated the way you did. A shame.
Nae breakers in the East Neuk, the wind wiz fae the wrong direction. Now, if it wiz a Sou' Aister......
