    2. Not wishing to be offhand, but none of these "friend" requests come from me.

They seem to be this blog's running gag.

No he's no! There's a revised BCC for this Blog on the way, but many of the items from the last, now slightly charred copy, remain the same.
Norrie has already asked that nae fitbaw talk be included along with no links to songs and moaning about not getting requests played.

  14. folks, I sent an e-mail this morning - which is probably the way I'll send in my songs unless I find that texting's the only way to get noticed - exhibitionist? moi?

and this is what I said: 'I guess, being positive, I should say a massive thank you for giving us the blog in the first place. I've made real friends there, had a great laugh and found some amazing music. I know we've all descended into utter nonsense at times, done a whean o' moanin' - but you know it's because we feel so strongly about the show. It was a sudden and unexpected blow to have the rug pulled from under our feet on Friday without word of warning or mention of the contribution that bloggers had made. This means of communication and dialogue is important to me and having met most of the people on the blog, I know that what we are in life as we are on the blog - a bunch of people who enjoy each other's company.
I don't think it's hugely conceited to suggest that our contribution has helped shape the show in some respects - while the kind of discussion the blog enabled is simply not possible on facebook. In a show where we choose the music you've chosen to ditch the one means of considered listener input.'

I know, Mr Moderator, I just need to get over myself. :0)

  15. I don't see any point in further communication with them. They never play the stuff anyway and I usually find the show annoying. Likewise little point in listing songs here. The party's over.

Och I dont know, Glen. If one of the plusses of the Blog was the exchange of song ideas, whether they were played or not, then listing here still has a point.
Not sure how Norrie passing them on works though. Seems a lot of work for the man to take on. Maybe Gaie's Way is the way and we email our suggestions in as well as posting them here. It might also be interesting to start storing the playlists somewhere on here and see how we perform in terms of shouts.
