  6. It looks the A side on that sleeve. The backing slowed down, the vocals speeded up, Ringo and Paul at the top of their game. A signpost to Revolver, their best album, and a great record in its own right.

    2. I would place them like this:

      1 Revolver
      2 Abbey Road
3 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
      4 Rubber Soul
      5 Beatles For Sale
6 The Beatles (a.k.a. The White Album)
      7 Help !
      8 A Hard Day's Night
      9 Please Please Me
      10 With the Beatles
      11 Let it Be

The Red album was okay, but not as good as The Blue album.

Neither of them could hold a candle to The White Album.

(The Green album and The Black album were released to separate Glen Miller from his money).

    5. There's also a Grey Album by Danger Mouse which mashes up The Black Album by Jay-Z and The White Album by The Moptops.

  13. Did you think the revised Let It Be help it any? Did you like Yellow Submarine Songbook?

    1. The Naked album was certainly better than Phil Spector's over-produced mess but still below standard. It's astonishing they made Abbey Road shortly afterwards - mainly Paul. Yellow Submarine is half hearted. I used to like It's All Too Much but it hasn't aged well. George didn't really flower until he left. Cloud Nine is a great album.

You would think a theme on Rain would not present too many problems. So many brilliant songs from which to choose! Right?

Thank goodness for Neil "The Horny Horsie" Sedaka

Yon dire playlist even contaminated the few good songs.

Where do they get this idea that Scottish bands must be good just because they're Scottish?!?

    Jeezo.......
