Yes it is Adam again! Who is this old bloke he is with?
1. Clue 1 it is not Glen
2. Clue 2 prof popkiss wife loves him (the old codger not Adam in so far as I am aware, plus she hopefully and I am sure does still love the popkiss)

Zappa Plays Zappa at RCH last Monday - Forget any pre-conceptions and ignore what anyone says about the music (except me of course). This band is BRILLIANT! Don't miss the next tour. You won't hear a better live band. Dweezil is as good as Frank on guitar and Scheila Gonzalez on sax and keyboards (sometimes at the same time) is amazing. Ben Thomas sings like Frank and plays trumpet and trombone. All very jazzy.
you too?! I was at a modern dance thing in Greenock this week and I think I slept through most of it - nae herm tae the dancers as they say, they were fine, it was just that kind of music, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I daresay Dweezil would have been a better bet.
The advantage of a standing gig - less chance of nodding off.
Unfortunately, I think Blackburn's nearer Edinburgh than Glasgow so I think we bagsy it...dammit. Don't know why you're getting so excited about HRC anyway... Jx
Thought Madame Popkiss would appreciate his autograph!!
ReplyDeleteThat's as much as the Prof will allow I'd reckon, rumour has it he's "insanely" jealous ;-)
ReplyDeleteIs it Martin Bormann?
ReplyDeletethe girl in the photo's only got eyes for Adam I notice
ReplyDeleteShe looks at him as if he saved her baby from drowning.
DeleteI think she was a TV reporter.
Deleteshe's obviously from the BBC, displaying admirable impartiality as is expected of their reporters.
DeleteOn a second examination I think her expression may have more to do with the man in the rear.
DeleteThat's an auld photo. Adam looks mair like Rod now
ReplyDeleteMadame says thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteLike you've nothing to be guilty of?
ReplyDeleteExactly.
DeleteWhile checking the date of the above encounter, I came across this:

Good to see that even more pious blogs than our own have their ranters. This one from Mad Monk Mac.
God's not drawing the same crowds. He hasn't toured for 2000 years
DeleteI've always considered Jesus to be Black... he called everyone brother, liked gospel & couldn’t get a fair trial.
DeleteMeanwhile, on the other side.....

ReplyDeleteMy friend and his daughter went - said they played for 3.5 hours and were fantastic.
DeleteSo you'll both be there next time?
DeleteThey were on at The House Of Blues in Boston when I was there but we went to see the Symphony Orchestra instead - and nodded off.
Deleteyou too?! I was at a modern dance thing in Greenock this week and I think I slept through most of it - nae herm tae the dancers as they say, they were fine, it was just that kind of music, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I daresay Dweezil would have been a better bet.

So how was ol' Bob, Norrie?
I really enjoyed Bob thanks Gaie. Veered from incredible to enigmatic! Band was fantastic I must say. Bob the best I have seen him.
Deletethat's good to hear!
DeleteThe nodding off was no problem, it was the violent jumps at sudden loud passages which caused embarrassment.
DeleteHard Rock Glasgow's open........................
ReplyDeleteDine within sight of Marti Pellow's dentures.
ReplyDeleteI think the restraining order only applies to Edinburgh. Anyway, the food might taste better if eaten with Marti's gnashers.
