Whilst occasionally perusing their scratchings in Pseuds Corner, I cannot help but feel the entertainment value of The Grauniad's "writers" has gone to hell since the departure of Julie Burchill.
This joke, popularised by Will Fyffe in the music halls of the 1930s has finally arrived on the East Coast, probably brought back by a pedlar or itinerant worker.
