yes,I saw that and for a moment was excited till I remembered what GIO can do to even the most promising themes.
And just to be clear, One Direction and Justin Beiber don't feature on my ipod or any of my other listening devices.
As for 'down with the kids', you're spot-on, there's some running up & down next door's stairs, making me very angry. That's not good on a Saturday night when I've walked round the Cut, done many chores and now have a nice movie to watch.
Here's some Paddy homework seen this threads so bloomin' slow. Go a listen to something Irish today..
Gaie you get Rory G, Adam Thin Lizzy, Glen Them, DC Sir Bob & his rats, Billy SLF, Norman Van, Dale & Julie (not quite category .. Costello & Morrissey respectivey) & Scotch cousin Mary from Goreweed. Think I'll start with some Cranberries, reflect on Paris with some Dropkick Murphys and end up in the House of Pain.
moving hearts and planxty too if you please........little musgrave would be good.......or the show missed a trick during cheltenham week........ballad of ruby walsh
Oh, MM, please, lovely a guy as Rory seems to have been, I can't get into his music apart from some great acoustic stuff I heard on a TV programme. How about if I look for something that was recorded in the last 5 years? (though not by Rory of course, now that he, Gary and Alvin are jammin' about never having to go home again.) I'll happily listen to Gary though.
Was so pleased to see the Graham Parker docu this weekend. Made me realise how lucky I am to have seen him with The Rumour. What a great live band...and all that praise from Broooooce too!
I do but it's been and gone now hasn't it? I initially heard about it so long ago that I didn't twig when the film came out. I'll catch up with it eventually.
Favourite is an absolute. It can't be qualified by "very". Like "unique" - something is either unique or it isn't.
ReplyDeletethe problem i have is not in the pedantry of the meaning of unique or otherwise but that the music was uniquely pure rubbish, in the main.
ReplyDeletecheers frae the dale
Not a bad show last night by the look of the playlist. Good to see Leo on there. Julie, I take it the Alan Price shout was yours?
ReplyDeleteI've already got my request in for the best decade ever!
You gotta speed it up..
DeleteOn second thoughts It's Kid Creole's loads of Fish Today isn't it?
DeleteNot me AFR. 80s weren't bad at all. I spent many hours of early 80s dancing to some good tunes in AFR's wee dive of a free disco...great place!
DeleteJulie x
The irony is .. Comic Relief started towards the end of the 80's & shit for brains have decreed it's the entire decade, Kajagoogoo please Bryan.

ReplyDeleteMy wee offerin for big hat day
Kinda like Karie Murphy's Farcebook page.. what is it about Falkirk?
ReplyDeleteHer account's been deactivated. It was no worse than Elvis Costello's "Tramp The Dirt Down". I would have thought she'd have moved on a bit by now.
DeleteThat's what I thought .. a distinct lack of imagination. However can't say the town doesn't attract charismatic politicians.
DeleteWhat's your "watch with mother" shout for this evening going to be?
