It's going to be a bit of an Emotional Yo-Yo tonight as we ask you to explore your feelings and emotions. Songs that sing of happiness or those that are just plain down in the dumps, excited, delighted, joyful or sad - step onto the Get it On Emotional Rollercoaster and hold on tight.
Sad Song by Lou Reed is unlikely to get a play.
Likewise "Happiness" by Grant Lee Buffalo. A great song but perhaps a bit downbeat for people trying to dance round their kitchen?
ReplyDeleteFeelings? Feelings are what get you into trouble.
I am a Rock - S&G
A rock feels no pain; and an island never cries.
Feelings are what got you into trouble at that cinema.
DeleteFeelings, for all my life I'll feel it.
DeleteI wish I'd never met you, girl;
You'll never come again.
Ah! A brazilian on the blog!

ReplyDeleteIs that a new rehab clinic?
DeleteI sure am!
DeleteNothing wrong with my current rehab clinic.
DeleteIt says a lot that there's to be an exhibition of Bowie's trousers but not a whisper about his music.
ReplyDelete"The Elvis Experience" opened in Sao Paulo this week.
DeleteI wrote to them and asked if the TV with the bullet hole in it was the original or just a mock up. No reply yet.
Still, it looks good.

ReplyDeleteMary Doll!! Requesting Queen!!!
What's the theme?
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to yesterday's emotional theme.
DeleteJulie was that your Sad Cafe shout?? Great memory jerker! Well done.
Nope...but..I seemingly need to get a bigger mantlepiece for my song of the night awards ('Happy Hour' - Ted Hawkins)...I really didnt know it's a BB favourite since this was the third time of asking. I have no fires in my house anyway and certainly no pointless mantlepieces.
DeleteProg Rock Awards .. would Genesis have got your vote?
ReplyDeleteI reckon BJH deserve a break.
PB would have voted for Queen! I think there are some King Crimson and Yes fans among the Bloggers.
DeleteI had a BJH album once.
DeleteLove On The Line is a great single. I bought the album on the4 strength of it. Sadly it was played only once.
DeleteChrist! you're hard to please, how does Mrs Miller put up with it?
DeleteOh for the love of...saw them once...dreary or what...good lighting effects though...so that's OK then!
DeleteYou'd make Adam's list Julie as Blog Mother!
DeleteI first heard Love On The Line at a disco sandwiched between Michael Jackson tracks. The writing was on the wall.
DeleteJust had a look at the Prog Rock Awards and I was thinking we could use their categories for a Blog Awards ceremony!

DeleteBlast!
DeleteProg rock and the blog have a lot in common but it's difficult to see the energy and rage of punk rock in those unimaginative, dim-witted Facebookers who have replaced us.
ReplyDeleteNice turn of phrase .. Julie, 'enri anything to add?
