    3. He could do with a haircut.

    4. He could do with some rejuvenating face-cream, but he's far more appealing than Rick Wakeman who could definitely do with a haircut and possibly a shower.

    5. Francis Rossi got it right when he chopped the pony tail. A man gets to a certain age and he just has to let go. Even the hippies and the rockers.
How's your Tom looking these days?

    8. Factoid... "1985, Former Undertones singer Feargal Sharkey had his only UK No.1 single with the Maria McKee song 'A Good Heart' written about her relationship with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboard player Benmont Tench. Sharkey followed up the single with Tench written 'You Little Thief', this time about Tench's relationship with McKee"

  5. Well, Robert was amazingly, outstandingly, superlatively wonderful. Can still hardly believe I was there, standing only a few rows from the front, in what I thought was a great venue - never been there before, but liked it a lot. Can't actually imagine what it's like standing up in one of the wee boxes and was unaware when I bought my ticket that there were maybe options? Well wouldn't have chosen differently for sure, just glad I didn't inadvertently end up with a ticket for the balcony. Anyhow, the Sensational Space Shifters are a brilliant band and it was altogether a very, very memorable evening. I wouldn't blame Robert if he does refuse to take up on a Led Zep tour - he's doing his own fantastic stuff now and it's great to see him keep moving on.

John Mayall still doing good stuff, but the revelation of the night was a trio called King King - the singer/guitarist's from Glasgow and he's very, very good. Even did a Frankie Miller cover. Great voice, great guitar. Go see him if you get a chance.
