The Git has been harrassing a Mr R Ross proclaiming that not enough "real country" is played on shows purporting to be Country Music....all jsut a rumour of course but he fits the description...

    1. Moi?

Ricky Ross is on a long list of presenters I never listen to.

Yon other Ross (Jane Goldman's eejit) will be covering whilst Steve Wright has a holiday.

      I won't be listening.

Don't even get me started on Russell Brand...

  2. I think it's time we made our own contribution to this genre.

We can use this for a starter:

    3. How's about this for a starter...

In a bar up in Springburn,
      'Cross from Eastfield Depot,
On a bar stool she took out her phone,
      Thought, "it's time to grab,
      A black taxi cab,
To get me a lift to my home"

      She sat there for ages,
      Read all Herald pages,
As she waited for her taxi ride,
      But it wisnae comin,
      So she thought of thumbin
As she looked round the street outside
      But then it appeared,
      'Twas just as she feared
      And something snapped inside 'er
      She looked through the door,
      Felt rage in her core,
As she took it out on the driver

You took a fine time to get here Scotch Git......

  3. Norrie, I'm surprised you havent gone for Ms Willcox this evening. She'd be a shoo in with "I Want to be Free". Especially with all the rock shouts.
She's still belting it out today I believe. In good shape too.

there's been talk in Greenock that you're not fully fit
that carousing at lunchtime with folks from the east
has turned you soft while your gym-card has ceased

when I call for a taxi,
      she ranted and raged
I don't expect to wait all day long
      what kept you, she roared
      I'm sad, tired and bored
and the jukebox hasn't one decent song....
