Coldplay

I say with a degree of confidence that is the worst dross I have ever heard on Get It On.

Did they say this is a fast selling lp? I assume this is the worst track on it?

And Chris Martin, ignoring his spitty-lips and daft tape on his hands, is a fabulous frontman (and all those yoga classes have certainly paid off). GRRRRRRR! Jx

Early 60s sort of sound. I'd have liked to like them more; they worked hard, played well - the tunes just didn't excite. Or maybe the audience were a bit dull - I'd expected them to get a bit more fired up. Who knows.

    9. One of the problems with the other side is that there are multiple shouts for the same song. On the Blog someone might support someone's shout but they wouldnt put it in again under their name as their suggestion. Another thing that seems to be acceptable is the "Im requesting this aritist every day no matter the theme - folk like EZ and Norrie. I've nothing against this - apart from the amount of Queen and Blondie on the show - but I remember when BB lost the plot with Roxy John for asking for RM and Ferry every night.

    2. Friday I'm going to see Dougie MacLean here in Greenock. I've liked him ever since I saw him in Rothesay Pavilion years ago and he told the audience they could clap along but only if they did it in time.

I see Paolo's stooshie has reached the Herald. Except that of course it isn't a stooshie in the Herald, all the letters are in support of folks complaining about people getting up and down at concerts to buy drink and dispose of it. The ones who got so het up on FB, saying that if you're not prepared to have a bottle of p*** thrown over you you're not rock 'n roll and if you mind folks staggering around and standing on your feet then you aren't listening to the music properly - they maybe don't write to the Herald too often.

    3. As I sat in the RAH, awed and thrilled to be there watching Tom Petty, I was baffled to see people coming and going all through the concert. How could they bear to miss a second? And I was thankful I was in a seat at the far end of a very small row so that no-one needed to get past me - I'd have felt the need to kick them or trip them up. Greenock burd starts stooshie in RAH. I simply don't understand why you would need a constant top-up when the buzz of the gig itself should be enough. But nothing will change since the venues obviously make plenty out of alcohol sales and I daresay with so many around they need that to remain competitive.
Someone over by said that Ã’ran Mor was bad for people chatting their way through gigs -have to say that I've only been twice, but neither time was a problem and in particular The Low Anthem gig was noticeable for people being quiet and really listening.
