    1. You disappear for days then come back with a pusillanimous comment.

I would sing Mr. Brightside by The Killers who are appearing at the SECC for £80 a ticket. What a bargain.

  2. £47 including booking fee, handling charge, admin fee and postage.

You should be more careful when online shopping as you are clearly being taken advantage of by some traders.

    2. Bugger. Monday's show is strictly virgins only.

Now, where did I put that virgin?

    3. In the basement with the others

Nah! That's the Virgin trolley dollies.

My Radio Times (SCOTLAND / BORDER) informs me that Oor Janice is sitting in on Friday also.

Perhaps BBC cutbacks require Bryan to work a 3-day wwek.

  5. Reckon Janice could put the Snr Producer in her place.. nicely of course.

    1. I'm not familiar with any of the works of Erm.

And as far as X Factor, it sounds like Ecks have had a good time......

My song would probably have been one of Jim Reeves' so its perhaps just as well I didn't tune in!

  9. I saw The Killers in Boston two years ago. It was a surprise for my wife who is a big fan and thought she was going to a baseball game until support Wolfmother appeared.

  10. Ok here we go we got a real pressure cooker going here. Two down, nobody on, no score, bottom of the ninth. There's the windup, and there it is, a line shot up the middle. Look at him go. This boy can really fly.

    2. I wouldn't bother DC. According to some mythologies GIO has a life cycle of 4383 to 8766 hours, near the end of which it's required to repeat itself. A self imposed disengagement with it's regular listeners via a bi-annual appeal for virgins creates the life force to renew and live again. The new GIO is destined to live as long as it's old self. This could imply it's immortal but in some circles it is viewed as merely the off-spring of its former being.

    3. "The gigs you went to in your student days". This is a universal theme now that every chip shop has been turned into a university and exam results continue their exponential improvement so that graduate has become a synonym for unemployed and any job more advanced than gravedigging has to be done by a foreigner.

And don't tell me students go to school - pupils go to school, students go to university.

  13. Mebbe once our blogmeister is finished perusing the drinks aisles in sainsburys he could start a wee weekly feature for us...one song sunday... where we recommend the best song we've heard in the ladt 7 days to the house. One of the misses of the old blog is checking out fellow bloggers recommendations.
