Theme now dance anthems.

I doubt we have had that theme before.

  3. Norrie.

I will pay good money to see you dance to "Once in a Lifetime" and "Electricity" on the 24th.

I will pay for your Man Utd season ticket for the next 5 years to see you dance to "Double Dutch"!!

    Dance anthems......

Guess anythings better than the theme that usually accompanies results day and the Snr Producers tail of cheating >8-0

  6. The problem is that we dont have a suitable course.
We're supposed to constructing a new one but the ownership of the land to be used is in dispute.

The course is to become a public one after 2016...
    ....aye, right.

I was thinking last night that if an Olympic event was somebody shouting out random themes to which competitors had to react with lists of appropriate songs it would be Sir Patrick McCafferty and Dame Julie Ross by now.

      Delete
    9. Lord McCafferty surely? Harsh on Julie though, at least the requests are less obvious than most.

Thanks for the vote from the Rio jury, I had expected to be disqualified, Victoria Pendleton style, for breaching the "no more than 4 songs" rule...

No Four Tops in the Olympics, Patrick.

  7. I'm told the theme for the Closing Ceremony is A Symphony of British Music - which is fine - but then I hear Blur, Spice Girls and Take That are going to be on!
I'm not against them per se, but as far as I know they're pretty unknown around the world so why use them? (NBC cut the Artic Monkeys from the Opening Ceremony because nobody knew who they were)
We've got loads of global stars we could use - Rolling Stones, Floyd, Adele, Leo etc. So use them. Fly the flag!
Besides, there's not enough Leo Sayer at closing ceremonies.
