It was many years ago is all I'm saying, Adam, but he was a young farmer from Kilconquhar and I don't know who he played for. We only went out twice...His sister did go to Waid right enough.
Yep, I worked as wine waiter then barman for many years at the Craws. A fine place, and there's a chance some on this blog will be there again in future - it's being converted into an old folks' home.
We don't refer to "Kilconquhar" as such in these parts, the place is known as "Kinnuchar".
Perhaps best not to start a limerick competition.....
Not entirely glad you translated that comment for me, Glen, though it did have me a bit puzzled. I used to think Adam was a nice guy too.
Yes, DC, I know about the pronunciation. I just wish I could remember the name of the farm. I've been past that way recently, visiting my good chums Malcolm Middleton and family who were staying in Geilston Estate and are now moving to Anstruther, yes, I know how it's pronounced too. See me, see parliamo East Neuk.
There was an old man in Kilconquhar Who was sharing a room with a trquhar Whose favourite trick involved licorice sticks, Well it certainly made his lips pquhar
I see Tom Petty's releasing an album of the leftovers from Wildflowers. Be interesting to see how that stands up. Can't say I made much of Hypnotic Eye - though I didn't persevere too much - so will the old stuff be better or just old and second-rate, having not made the cut in the first place?
.previously on the thread......this thing about queen, blondie, aztec camera.....ad nauseum.....its surely an ongoing office joke....oh, nearly forgot RR......
Does anyone care about about athlete's doping themselves? It's all about money. Legalise it, get sponsorship from Astra Zeneca and watch them explode during the lap of honour.
Ah sharrap...I was just chatting with someone I know from school. I actually do think it's quite a feat to have kept the show going for so long...so what! Grrrrrr! J X
