Thansk Billy. Themes not particularly inspiring. Still I remember a childhood of tattie holidays long summers and skint knees. But not so many theme songs.
Yes Mr Git several times and on the same day. However golfing at Port Glasgow yesterday was not such a pleasant experience and I returned my worst card in several years. I do not know how Gaie can live in this area and maintain such a cheery disposition.
Play that dead band's song. I glanced at the above and thought Joe Bonamassa had passed away for a minute. Johnny Gustafson who turned down the Beatles and ended up in Roxy Music has joined the supergroup in heaven.
Poor showing for tonight's theme on t'other side. I guess many here and there are partnerless so an odd choice of theme. (Fully expect The L E to have something to say on this later).
I think some are inventing too. Have to be. (You know who I mean).
Just looked at the playlist. What is the point of wasting half the show playing songs heard a million times before?
This is what you do, novice producers, you simply announce that you'll now play a less well-known song by Adele, whose Chasing Pavements you will most certainly know. Then instead of wasting time you get on with playing another hidden gem and everyone's life is enriched rather than stultified.
Any more advice needed, radio Scotland, you only need to ask.
"Chasing Pavements" is on my 'life is too short to listen to this crap' list. (It's a long list). I didn't even know that Adele was responsible until Oor Bryan said so.
Not played enough despite being championed by Henri. At least we had the Cream reunion and his name lives on (appropriately) in the social space of the RSAMD/Conservatoire.
Howdy all. On this weeks stiffs... Did you know a) My Coo ca Choo was actually sung by Peter 'Love me love my dog 'Shelley b) Rafael Ravenscroft got paid £37.50 for his sax session on baker st whilst rafferty earned annual royalties of 80k for the song c) I met henri this week and he didn't tell me jack bruce was going to die

Jimmy Saville used to dock you points if you didnt say "open bracket, close bracket" when guessing the titles on the Double Top Ten Show. I'm sure Bryan will make reference to that tonight.
Welcome back Norrie.
ReplyDeleteTonight it's childhood TV themes then it goes downhill.
Thansk Billy. Themes not particularly inspiring. Still I remember a childhood of tattie holidays long summers and skint knees. But not so many theme songs.
DeleteI have just been accused by Ronnie McGowan of having a poor work ethic as a child. This is obviously where my life started to go wrong.
ReplyDelete
DeleteYou refused to sweep the chimneys?
Mibbe you should ask forthe theme from the Sooty show tonight.
>8-D
ReplyDeleteNorrie, here they are!
Did you get the ball in the wee hole?
What are essential divas?
DeleteIts an anagram.
DeleteYes Mr Git several times and on the same day. However golfing at Port Glasgow yesterday was not such a pleasant experience and I returned my worst card in several years. I do not know how Gaie can live in this area and maintain such a cheery disposition.
DeletePort Glasgow was a mistake, you should have gone to Whinhill, one of the many jewels in Inverclyde's crown.
DeleteJoe Bonamassa passed this on to me, I thought you might enjoy it, Mr Git?
ReplyDeletePlay that dead band's song. I glanced at the above and thought Joe Bonamassa had passed away for a minute. Johnny Gustafson who turned down the Beatles and ended up in Roxy Music has joined the supergroup in heaven.
DeleteFreebird wis fab! Thanks, Gaie!
DeleteNae wunner Artimus took his shirt aff...
Certainly Freebird would've tore the shirt aff you (as we say in cheery Inverclyde)
DeletePoor showing for tonight's theme on t'other side. I guess many here and there are partnerless so an odd choice of theme. (Fully expect The L E to have something to say on this later).
ReplyDeleteI think some are inventing too. Have to be. (You know who I mean).
I get the impression that many correspondents are in prison where the wrong choice of music could be fatal.
DeleteThe Liquid Entertainer's choice of song for the ex certainly worries me.
DeleteGoing off to Chile for a few day to see this.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.homelessworldcup.org
Yup, its my 3rd football World Cup in 6 months.
Is it a big issue in Chile?
DeleteEnjoy your break
DeleteThanks Billy, though its more fact finding than pleasure. Still, havent seen the Andes before.
DeleteThey have built a replica next to the M8 at Deans, Livingston.
DeleteDeans is an anagram of Andes
....cue X-Files music...........
Well done Henri. Medicine Jar at last.

Agreed!
Delete"Chasing Pavements" is on my 'life is too short to listen to this crap' list. (It's a long list). I didn't even know that Adele was responsible until Oor Bryan said so.
Adele can sing which puts her in a minority on this show.

DeleteOh my goodness, Jack Bruce gone now.
ReplyDeleteNot played enough despite being championed by Henri. At least we had the Cream reunion and his name lives on (appropriately) in the social space of the RSAMD/Conservatoire.

DeleteHowever DEVO top the Stones
DeleteAgreed but BB only has one DEVO song as you well know.
DeleteJimmy Saville used to dock you points if you didnt say "open bracket, close bracket" when guessing the titles on the Double Top Ten Show.
DeleteI'm sure Bryan will make reference to that tonight.
I'm not so sure about that actually.
DeleteBack in Rio.
ReplyDeleteNorrie you'll be pleased to hear I found the time to visit United's official red wine sponsor.
Welcome back. That doesn't sound like fact finding...
