Well done lad! Liked the Yarbrough and Peoples shout in particluar. Brought back a lot of memories of my Royal Circus days Will be a good fit with my Saxon request.
I dont believe they played Hold Me Now! But probably the biggest disappointment of the day was the non-appearance on a Friday of the Liquid Entertainer. Mind you the lad Doig did his best as a late substitute. He must have been on Norrie's course this last week. Top marks too by the looks of it. He's well changed his tune.
Other tracks to feature on the new album include You're My Best Friend, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Too Much Love Will Kill You. 28 May 2014 Queen are to release their first new album in almost 20 years that will include unheard vocals by late frontman Freddie Mercury, the band's guitarist Brian May has disclosed...

Going to be a bit like Junior Choice on Monday is it no? Here Billy, we've no had a predo list from you for while. I'll kick you off: Grange Hill White Horses Jim'll Fix It Rupert the Bear Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads (I'm halfway through the box set as it happens). Theme from The Gallery on Vision On (there might have been a couple)
Hopefully we'll get The Persuaders but not so sure. Oft requested etc
They have said childhood favorites so presumably they're not thinking about things like True Blood, Sopranos and The Wire. So Happy Days Bewitched Record Breakers Taxi Cheers
The Jeeeeez, anything can happen in the next half hour!
Bonanza.... Captain Scarlet.... Man from U.N.C.L.E..... (Open channel three, Solo needs a pee etc), Daktari, pink Panther, High Chaparal and...... The Lone Ranger
Just think: by getting a free download from U2 you could have enough pocket money left over to buy this and your ipod would be safe from ever being stolen.
Went to Paisley Abbey on Friday for the concert with Roddy Hart & the Lonesome Fire, and King Creosote, both along with the RSNO. It was a great evening - I'm not a huge fan of either Roddy's voice or King Creosote's, but they were both superb, as of course was the orchestra. The acoustics were glorious - I thought - always nervous about making that kind of comment in case there's anyone listening that knows a bit about sound reproduction, which I don't, but I don't think I've ever heard better. I wonder if there was less amplification than in a normal gig venue - all was very clear anyhow and the singers were spot on. The setting was pretty special and the highlight of the night was King Creosote singing Cod Liver Oil and the Orange Juice along with rollicking orchestral accompaniment. Paisley Abbey's never seen the likes!
I don't know what's wrong with the Town Hall. They spent a fortune refurbishing it and it's only used for the Beer Festival (by old men with pony tails).
I was only in the Apollo a handful of times and such a concert-going novice that anywhere would've been wildly exciting so I can't truthfully add to the nostalgic ramblings. I saw the Stones, Kevin Ayers, Moody Blues (why?) and - well obviously we say, 'the Quo, man'. They were the last and it certainly felt like the balcony could come down any time. But I can't say I miss it, what with all the wealth of venues we have now, not all good certainly, but some imaginative and some unique, like Barrowlands. I suppose if that went I'd feel the same as the Apollo stalwarts do.
