Welcome back, Uncle Norrie, hope you had a grrreeeayyyt time.
Uncle Vic has been a big disappointment; he's had his chance now. Just check the playlists. I gave up listening after Tuesday. I can't be doing with the endless reading out of what folk asked for that they're not going to play. It's so patronising.

Welcome back Norrie. :-) Been catching up as I too am just back but from the Queen's But an' Ben! No surprise re wee Vic's performance... playlists are now so dull it must be like a weeks paid leave for those involved. Anyhow, want a laugh? Enrique Aloha sent me a friend request on Wednesday... which turned out to be an "in" to my Wall! Sorry Adam, Glen but you've got to keep your friends close but your enemies closer. As if scripted a post questioning my negativity & suggestion to move elsewhere appeared ;-). I asked Enrique if he was the GIO attack hound to which he called me a useless troll and in true Father Jack style to Feck Off before blocking me LOL!
The point is... even his ability to insult is as weak as his ability to Comprehend an original suggestion for the show ;-)
negativity? It's our positivity that seems to be the problem - we've suggested pure hunners of great songs and original themes; we've done our damndest to make the show something worth listening to and it's all been rejected and we've been ejected. That's negative alright.
Band names that are nouns? This and that? crying songs? Oh aye, crying. They should be, they've taken a great idea and dumbed it down to an endless repetition of about 20 songs, and themes that maybe came out a primary school jotter, they sure as hell didn't come from ours.
Glad you're back. Did you have a good time?

DeleteI meant Vic.
Delete"Load more" worked for me.
Why don't you rename this blog "Audience In Search Of A Programme"?
ReplyDeleteI had something played tonight...as JuliefromEdinburgh...though it was a facebook request. They must have forgiven my e-mail of earlier this week lol
ReplyDeleteWell done. What did you say in your email?
DeleteRe: Next week's themes.
Should anyone need help with Tuesday's theme.....
DeleteA noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea. Whatever exists, we assume, can be named, and that name is a noun.
The best part of the golf is Peter Alliss's commentary.
DeleteHe's getting really grumpy in his old age though.
DeleteHe's not a relative is he?
That's rough! But par for the course...

DeleteRe: Wednesday
Does "songs with messages" mean songs about buying groceries?
Never mind. Rhona Cameron, 18:30 BBC Radio4 followed by Mike Harding, 19:00 BBC Radio2 will ensure I do not have to endure Sting wailing. Again.

Keep up the good fight comrades!
I think that may not be his real name. Stay vigilant.
DeleteMy four Facebook friends have now dwindled to three.
We buried one of them last week. Do try to keep up, dear!

It's not clever to swear.
DeleteNot much I do is clever apparently, neither sarcasm nor swearing. Perhaps silence should be my next attempt to impress.
DeleteA short pause followed by a longer one, the two so close together as to be indistinguishable.
DeleteI'm trying to think of a word that rhymes with farce...
Warn Dale Kelvin they're looking for a fall guy.
