Yep it is that time of the year again. I am away on a wee jaunt so will not be updating here for a while.

  6. thank you to everyone for the kind greetings and flowers and champagne on the yet to be released...'i wish for you the world'.......however that was not me at 51 seconds....my solicitor is at this moment serving papers on the poor lookalike imposter.....work commitments prevent me from attending rehearsals in london and madchester.......however the choir is performing on the south bank on the 20th/12th at 2012 hours........chambers have already been booked in docklands and i intend arriving for the performance by water vessel.

    now if you don't mind i'll just have a wee blether wi A_f_R.....

    4. I always thought "Clackmannanshire Bridge" was far from snappy and gave a poor impression of the locals. The old bridge landed in Fife. The boundary must be very close.

  17. they'll dig out the crème de la crème of Scottish music to celebrate, starting with the Proclaimers, throwing in a bit of Jimmy Shand for eclecticism, a bit of Edi Reader murdering a Burns song and finishing with Dignity. Though it's hard to fathom how you could finish with dignity after that lot (excepting JS) and Miss B shrieking in the background.

  20. i'm not a flag waver myself and as st andrew is not exclusive to scotland it would be nice to think that there would be a more eclectic european flavour to the choices.....but they're wont be........i've gone right off a few of these scottish performers especially recently as they seem to be jumping on a bandwagon as if they have been promised the promised land..........i think its quite scary myself and have a contingency plan...flag waving...its a disaster waiting to happen.

      Its a Knockout ran from 1966 to 1988. And that was just its first run! I've said it before, but it never ceases to amaze me when I look back at the longevity of our favourite shows back in the day. Things like The Black & White Minstrel Show and Little & Large went on for decades.
      Can't see your X Factors and Downtown Abbeys managing that these days!
