Howdy folks...hope all are well. Apologies for the lack of new threads but I am sure the interesting themes have been keeping you suitably entertained?
...except the show is now being presented by Robbie Shepherd and there's a noticeable bias towards Scottish dance music. He has introduced a nightly Prog Rock slot and played a whole side of King Crimson.
I once bought a King Crimson tape and spent quite a lot of time trying to like it. I thought the long silences were intentional and only discovered belatedly that it was a faulty tape.
When we were clearing out my Uncle's house recently, there, blu-tacked on the wall of the room that was my bedroom when I stayed there was a wee photo of the BCRs cut out of a newspaper. I've kept it.Jx
Rachel Sermanni gig last night was great. Mind you, I'd have made more effort not arrive fashionably late if I'd realised it was a seated do. Tom Tyrrell who played first and sometimes along with Rachel was pretty soporific - in a good way - just that nodding off while standing is slightly hazardous. Anyhow, all credit to the Òran Mòr audience who seem to know how to shut up and listen.
they must be all glued to their radios.
ReplyDeleteDunno what was playing when I tuned in, but it kept me glued to my radio for 2.5 seconds.
Thanks Norrie. Currently on Vancouver Island on vacation. What have I missed?
ReplyDeleteFantastic Billy hope you have a great time. I suspect you have not missed much...
