A wee teaser for tonight's theme. Whit summery song combines joabs from Julie's favourite, bestest sitcom ever, "The High Life" and mine, "On the Buses"?
I think you should do a turn Gaie (Seeing as how you've barred The Liquid Entertainer). Might I suggest Kelly Marie's "Feels Like I'm in Love". I'm sure you still have a red jump suit from back in the day. A mime will suffice.
Thanks Glen. I note one of your requests was Dancing the Night Away. If, like me, you have "Airport - The Motors Greatest Hits" and "Foreigner - The Definitive" in your car, there is no need to for any other music to drive to. I commend that idea to the house.
My father (a keen ballroom dancer) only ever expressed a liking for two pieces of modern music - The Last Time by The Stones and Dancing the Night Away by the Motors. I like Urgent.
Poor turnout for this theme on other side. I was even prompted to email in with a couple myself. I think the LE is thinking of Brand New Combine Harvester again...
Indeed! And yet Oliver's Army is played whenever someone asks for it.
And whit aboot yon misogynistic rant from Glastonbury?
They stopped playing Money for Nothing though.
DeleteI see someone has already asked for Brother Louie. Bit insensitive that.

DeleteHeera booked. Just need to confirm numbers nearer the time

For the benefit of those bereft of a Scooby!
Yawn!
DeleteBack in the early days when bloggers were ten a penny & the first soirée I suggested the Bon but we ended up on Queen St.
Why the change of heart... "sarcastic, moi?"
It could've been worse - Blondie Street.
DeleteYou love Debbie really đŸ˜‰
Deletemac just trying to think of somewhere that suits all - just proved you were right in the first place
DeleteIt's all about the beer ;-)
DeleteHave I missed anything whilst I've been in jail?
ReplyDeleteWith Rolf Harris as a cellmate? - I don't think so.
Delete"with my extra leg, deedle, eedle, eedle, um"
DeleteIn High Security no one can hear you scream.
Deleteyou get a nice warm jacket though
ReplyDeleteNearly 100 posts and nae Stars on 45!!
ReplyDeleteSheesh!

I dun it.
ReplyDeleteWhur is the wee man?
ReplyDeleteSee BB's up for a bit of roll play... again.
ReplyDeleteHey, hey, hey, I've pulled. Can I bring my girlfriend with me on Friday?
ReplyDeleteThanks Glen. I note one of your requests was Dancing the Night Away.
DeleteIf, like me, you have "Airport - The Motors Greatest Hits" and "Foreigner - The Definitive" in your car, there is no need to for any other music to drive to.

ReplyDeleteI think the LE is thinking of Brand New Combine Harvester again...
Was great to hear Urgent!
DeleteWhat time are we eating tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteWhen suits?
DeleteBack of 8?
DeleteSurely there's enough talk of food on GIO without it influencing the bloggers soirée.
DeleteAh kain. Here did someone tell Henri??
DeleteHenri is expected! I saw him during the week.
ReplyDeleteGood!
DeleteText me when him and Glen square up.
Great to see you all last night. Thanks to Norrie and Glen for excellent choice of venues. Too bad we never got round to the dancing...
ReplyDeleteYou didn't see me on the train.
Delete"So come on, come on, do the Loco-Motion with me!"
Mair repeat themes.
ReplyDeleteNot terribly exciting.
oh I love new music Monday, a chance to send in umpteen suggestions none of which will be played.
DeleteYou never know. This time may be different...
DeleteI love your sense of the ridiculous, Billy ;-)
DeleteEternally optimistic...
Deleteby the way if none of you is claiming goal, I'll just have it for myself.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you want to listen to something decent that won't be played on GIO then I commend Pale Fire to you.
No mishaps on Friday night then? Did everyone behave?
ReplyDeleteOf course. Obviously you are the bad influence...
DeleteEveryone but Mad Mac.
