Yes something we are all too familiar with......sit back and relax as Ross McFadyen plays: Singing In The Rain Rain Town It Is Raining Men Here Comes The Rain Again and other precipitious classics.

  5. well, obviously someone has been listening - quite a return to form I thought - almost no one mentioned food and they played the whole of Red Rain right throught to Peter's last breath. Difficult Nina Simone track when both Dusty and Francoise covers would have been easier, Ann Peebles instead of Tina, thank god....

    1. Just checked the playlist and thought that every single predictable song was on it. I don't get your enthusiasm, Henri, sorry.

Glen, I was on my way to NY that Friday but missed the plane. Went on Saturday instead. Did NY, New Jersey, New Haven then a couple of days in Cambridge/Boston. Got back yesterday.

    1. When people say "next Friday" they mean "a week this Friday".

We're off to Cambridge next week to see Zoe Miller.

  9. I havent spent any length of time in the US since 1980 but they are still playing Toto, Fleetwood Mac, Chrstopher Cross and Billy Joel (a lot).
When I was in NJ I noticed that the local stations were playing Brooce every 15 minutes (Glory Days a particular favourite), but you kind of expect this and its ok. This made me think that when Americans visit Scotland they probably expect to hear The Proclaimers on local radio, so maybe we shouldn't be so critical of GIO for playing them two or three times a week.

  10. As to the goings on here in my absence... well...
Thanks for the summaries Gaie and Mac but I think I'm going to have to go for a look myself.
And to think that I was commenting on Mac's ice breaking dialogue with Drew Lloyd before I left!
Who said "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success." ?
Obviously you skipped that lesson in the Waast-by Academy o Diplomacy, Mac.
