  1. Which reminds me I was impressed with Chef Jaquelines recipe for roast chicken which I will relate here from memory in an incredible feat of memorey skill.

    Ingredients - a chicken, a lemon, oil

    Heat up oven

Cut chicken in half and bash it flat (this is spatchcocking though I dont think she said that)

Lob chicken in boilidng water for 10seconds

    Smother in oil

Squeeze over lemon and maybe a wee herb or too

    Season

Stick in oven and roast for 30mins until juices from thickest part of thigh runs clear.

    Rest.

    Eat.

    There beat that GIO contributors

    3. I think the CDM regulation would preclude lobbing anything into boiling water without a risk assessment, probably resulting in the provision of personal protective equipment and the exclusion of innocent bystanders from the splash zone.

"bash it flat" might also need further examination in this regard.

Meanwhile suspend operations until further notice.
