  3. well I used to think some guy who couldn't sing was making a helluva mess of Mr Tambourine Man, but that was a long time ago.

    1. It's a pity they didn't use more of his lyrics about the foggy rooms of time and evening's empire returning into sand but that Rickenbacker sound still brings a smile to my face.

  4. The Rolling Stones - "Wild Horses"

Although this version was recorded first it wasn't released until a year after it was included on "Burrito Deluxe" by The Flying Burrito Brothers. I didn't know that until pointed out by Scotch

    1. Some of the comments made and not played were even more incredulous...and I only heard the first 40 minutes or so...

    2. The comments were incredible. You're incredulous.

I think you have face up to the results of an "every-child-receives-a-prize" education system, the products of which are now passing on their lack of knowledge to the next generation. There was an English teacher on yesterday who felt no shame in saying she only knew the three books she was teaching her pupils.

    3. On that very point, BB will need all the help he can get if it's mental arithmetic come Thursdays C.I.N. quiz on yon Fred MacAulay show.
This also begs the question... wonder if the BBC's former director general, George Entwistle will be making a donation?
